Football Trade Directory is pleased to announce the winner of our ‘Win training gear for your club’ competition, in conjunction with The Co-operative Insurance.
Over one hundred and forty grass roots teams submitted Uruguay as the correct answer to our question - Who hosted the first ever World Cup?
One team was selected at random and we are delighted to congratulate London ASPA FC as the winner.
London ASPA FC will receive a Big Blue Bag of football equipment. This fantastic prize includes two multi-surface portable goals, corner posts and flags, Co-operative Insurance Cup training bibs and two footballs. It all comes in two Co-operative Insurance compact bags that fit easily across the backseat of a car and can be comfortably carried. For more information about The Co-operative Insurance and the services they offer visit www.co-operativeinsurance.co.uk.
Furness Cavaliers AFC, Worthern Juniors, JFC Pavilions, West End Boys and Girls Club and Canon Lee were also picked out as runners up.
Football Trade Directory invited Mick ‘Baz’ Rathbone into the office to draw the lucky winners. Former ex professional footballer and Everton FC physiotherapist Mick is a familiar face at Football Trade Directory after writing a number of successful stories for our weekly newsletter.
Speaking of the competition Mick said: “It’s great to see companies like The Co-operative Insurance investing in the future stars of British football. I know from my own son’s experiences of playing at a grass roots level, the funding difficulties that these sides face, and how valuable good training equipment is to them.”
As of 1st July 2010 Mick will formally join the Sportsglobal family to launch Crossing the White Line. Crossing the White Line will provide a range of professional sports services including sports injury and rehabilitation consultancy and lecturing on sports injuries. For more information on the services provided by Crossing the White Line call 01254 678132.
