E-Marketing: SMEX

Aim: To help promote the SMEX Wembley event, and to sell and lead generate to potential exhibitors for the exhibition.
Background
Held at Wembley Stadium, SMEX gives buyers and officials from sporting clubs and associations across Europe the chance to meet up with premier suppliers and wholesalers in a relaxed, informal environment for all their sports merchandise needs. SMEX were looking to promote and sell exhibiting space to appropriate companies/suppliers.
Method
We designed an interactive campaign that put across the key USP’s of SMEX through the use of video and imagery with calls to action. We then agreed on a database of companies who we felt were an appropriate target market for the services SMEX offered.
RESULT.....
The campaign received over 1100 opens from 1800 sent emails as well as over 100 clicks on the various content within the e-mail. With such a high open rate the e-mail generated positive PR for the event and gave SMEX numerous leads to follow.
