Accrington and Rossendale College, who already run a successful Girls Academy, have expanded their provision to give talented 16 and 17 year old boys the opportunity to undertake a full time college course within the environment of a professional football club.
The accross academy, in association with sportswear giant Puma and nutritional specialists Herbalife and Nuun, will see players train every day as well as taking on a BTEC sports course, league fixtures will be in the British Colleges League and LFA U18's Floodlit League, selected boys and girls will also get the chance to travel abroad for a warm weather training camp as well as trial for representitive teams. Talented players will be given the chance to progress through to professional and semi-professional clubs.
