About Pukka Pies

Pukka Pies is a privately owned family business and was founded by the present company chairman in 1963.  We now employ 250 people and make some 50 million pies and pasties per year.  Pukka Pies operates in stringently hygienic conditions from the most modern pie production facility in Europe.

With great care we make extremely high quality delicious savoury pies and pasties as well as sausage rolls, sausages and puff pastry. Our best sellers are our large round single portion steak and kidney pies closely followed by chicken and mushroom and then beef and onion.

Other very popular sellers include our all steak pie, potato and meat pie, Cornish pasty, potato cheese and onion slice and our sausage and sausage roll lines. We are focused on customer care and service. We deliver what our customers want and support them with point of sale material and strong advertising and marketing.

This family business has a totally loyal and conscientious staff. They are the company’s strongest asset and many people have worked 15, 25 and even 35 years for the company. Staff benefits include company pension scheme, annual pay review and a Christmas bonus as well as private health insurance. The Directors make staff welfare and job security a central objective of the business. Pukka Pies have never made any redundancies.

We have a polite and respectful business relationship with our carefully selected suppliers and company policy is to pay strictly within 7 days for all invoices received.
