Derby County and Amazon have joined forces to offer supporters a quick and easy way to get a Rams strip delivered straight to their door. The Rams are expanding their retail channels for supporters, who can already buy great merchandise by visiting shopDCFC in person at Pride Park or the club’s official retail partner LabSport - based in the Westfield Shopping Centre – as well as online at shopdcfc.co.uk.
Amazon, one of the world’s most popular purchasing websites, will offer the Derby County range to a wider audience across the globe. The web giants are currently selling the Rams 2009/10 home, away and third replica kits and the popular 09/10 training range.
Derby County CEO Tom Glick says the partnership is another step forward for the club:“We already have a great operation in place for our supporters to buy our fantastic merchandise, but by teaming up with Amazon it will help expand our reach,” he said.
“Amazon is a global brand recognised for excellent service as well as a quick and efficient way to distribute goods anywhere in the world.
“As a club, we have made big strides over the past twelve months to meet our fans’ requirements with regards to retail.
“We redesigned and modified shopDCFC at Pride Park to be more supporter friendly in line with the feedback we received and the partnership with LabSport in the Westfield Centre has given us a presence in the City Centre.
“Thanks to our great relationship with Adidas - another global leader - we have some tremendous kits and merchandise on offer to supporters and it’s important to continue to improve methods of selling these products in the most convenient and professional way.”
