Lancashire law firm Forbes Solicitors is pleased to celebrate its sponsorship of The Central Lancashire Junior and The Mid Lancashire Colts Junior Football Leagues by running a competition for all youngsters in the leagues to win sports equipment for both themselves and their club.
The competition involved answering a series of football trivia quiz questions. Those who answered all the questions correctly were then asked to answer a tie breaking question stating why they thought they should win the prize, the winning answer was, “Because we haven’t got any new stuff yet because we have only just started playing football and we are too little to wash cars and things.”
The winner was Oliver Lynch who is a local boy from Lea, Preston and plays for Springfields Under 7’s. Oliver won £300 worth of equipment for his club and £100 for himself. His club used the money to purchase new waterproof training jackets for the whole team and Oliver spent his prize money on various football equipment including a goal keeping kit and footballs.
The presentation took place at the BAC Sports Club in Broadgate, Preston and Kevin Kealey, Chairman of The Mid Lancashire Colts Junior Football League commented, “The league is extremely grateful for the sponsorship from Forbes Solicitors, which goes towards helping young people play competitive football in a safe and structured environment. Without the support of firms such as Forbes, young people would not have this opportunity.”
