Npower has unveiled the new logo to be used for their sponsorship of The Football League. The red and blue design which features a ‘reversed n’ will be officially unveiled at the launch of the 2010/11 season fixture list on 17 June.
The gas and electricity providers have agreed a £21 million three year sponsorship deal from next season. The deal will see the League’s flagship competition renamed ‘the npower Football League’ with its three divisions being titled ‘the npower Championship’, ‘npower League 1’ and ‘npower League 2’. The deal will also see each of the League’s 72 Clubs receive a grant from the npower charity fund for a local community initiative project.
The new logo follows a rebrand last month by npower as they aim to reposition themselves as a home and energy services provider, rather than just a gas and electricity company. Npower will reward fans who switch their gas and electricity provider to them.
