Blue Square Bet Premier side Mansfield Town Football Club has been presented with a deadline by which it must confirm if recent stadium troubles have been resolved.
Football Trade Directory reported last month how the club has been locked out of its Field Mill ground over rent arrears.
However competition rules state that if the ground upon which the club was admitted to membership is no longer available to stage their home fixtures, then Mansfield Town can only fulfill future fixtures at a ground certified as having an `A` grade qualification.
The club must notify the Board of the Football Conference no later than 5pm on Monday 20th December as to where it will meet the obligation to fulfill its scheduled Boxing Day home fixture and all home fixtures thereafter.
If the Stags are unable to meet this requirement it will not only impinge on issues which relate to competition rules on membership criteria, but also affect the club’s chance of promotion into the Football League.
