Our weekend at Grass Roots Football Live 2010

The Football Trade Directory Team was out in force at Grass Roots Football Live 2010 this weekend and a good time was had by all!

Grass Roots Football Live 2010 marked the fifth year for the football extravaganza at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham and the event proved to be as popular as ever. Thousands of people attended over three days enjoying a wide variety of interactive football fun including coaching demonstrations, a Grass Roots performance clinic, Mark Harrod’s Crossbar Challenge, training and fitness areas and a Skills Zone. Coaches especially enjoyed listening to the wise words of some of the UKs highest profile manager’s, including newly promoted Blackpool FC’s Ian Holloway, and a chance to browse the latest offerings from over 150 specialist suppliers exhibiting at the event.

Grass Roots Football Live is the biggest event for Grass Roots football. At Football Trade Directory we understand the importance of grass roots football clubs within the football hierarchy and the specialist needs that these teams have. The majority of grass roots teams are run by volunteers with limited time and limited budgets. Football Trade Directory was joined at the NEC by plenty of familiar faces and members of our online community.  Sports equipment manufacturer Mark Harrod sponsored the ever popular Crossbar Challenge event which featured his youth size, freestanding, self weighted aluminum goal. 

 Errea Sport, Joshila Sports Ltd, Apto Sports and MG Sportswear were showcasing their latest sportswear designs and Musco lighting, The Non League Paper, insurance experts Bluefin and the Sports Plus Scheme were also exhibiting their specialist products and services.

Quick Play Sport Ltd displayed their portable Kickster goals and Innersound, sponsors of our leaflet, were demonstrating their Qi therapies.

Football Trade Directory’s own Charlotte Rathbone was lucky enough to experience a Qi Treatment first hand from Innersound’s Eric Cathan, which was just the tonic after an incredibly busy yet thoroughly enjoyable day. 

Grass Roots Football Live 2010 once again proved to be a fun day out for all the family and we are already looking forward to next year.
