Swansea City fans sponsor stand at Liberty Stadium

A pair of Swansea City fans will be hoping that their beloved club stay in the Premier League after their business sponsored a stand at the Welsh club's Liberty Stadium.

Paul Howells and Rod Bowen have been following the Swans since the 1970s and their online education recruitment service, Eteach, will take the naming rights for Swansea City's East Stand for the next three seasons.

The duo who hail from Swansea have seen their business go from strength-to-strength in the past eight years, a rise to the top which has been mirrored by their club's expoits.

"We are delighted the Swans have made it to the Premier League at an important time for the club and the wider community in Wales," Mr Howells said on walesonline.co.uk.

"It’s staggering to think that if you leave London on the M4 west, Swansea is now the only Premier League club you will find.

"We wish the Swans every success for the season and we are looking forward to many years of Premier League football in our home city."

Mr Bowen added: "It’s a happy coincidence that Swansea City’s rise, from its lowest point in 2003 to achieving Premier League status, has been mirrored by Eteach’s development from an education job board to a leading provider of recruitment solutions across the education sector.

"I’m sure this sponsorship deal will be a huge success for both partners."

The sponsorship of the East Stand follows on from last week's news that the North Stand has been sponsored by the Welsh tourism agency and will be called the Croeso Stand.
