Sunderland’s latest summer signing, goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, is proving to be a big hit before he’s even pulled on a shirt for the Black Cats.
The Republic of Ireland international wears Precision Goalkeeping’s special negative cut gloves with finger protection and a silver trim and those very gloves are currently available after the Nottinghamshire based business released a small quantity of Limited Edition Keiren Westwood gloves into the market.
Westwood, 26, was one of the hottest free agents on the market after enjoying another fine season as captain of Coventry City. The goalkeeper will link up with his new club at the Stadium of Light in July and will be aiming to keep more clean sheets throughout the forthcoming campaign.
David Sanderson, National Sales Manager for Precision Goalkeeping, said; “We are delighted for Keiren – he had a superb season with Coventry and have no doubt he will be a great success at Sunderland.
“Prior to the transfer announcement we had received a number of enquiries about his gloves and we have decided to release a small quantity to the market.
“Sales of all of our gloves have been fantastic since our launch and Keiren’s move to the Premier League only acts to further cement our position within the market.”
Westwood is part of an impressive stable of Precision Goalkeeping keepers that includes Kasper Schmeichel, Brian Jensen, Frank Fielding, Alan Kelly, Robert Olejnik, Ian Turner and Trevor Carson.
Former England manager Graham Taylor is lead Brand Ambassador for parent company Precision Training and the Nottingham based company also have official partnerships with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Aston Villa and are official suppliers of specialist training aids to the Football League.
