Conference side Eastwood Town to be sold in June

Blue Square Bet North side Eastwood Town Football Club chairman Tony Minnis has confirmed that the club will be sold to a company represented by Jamie Brough on June 1st 2011.

A new board of directors is expected to be announced soon along with the next management team following the exit of Paul Cox.

Minnis said: "I am pleased to announce that we have agreed the sale of Eastwood Town FC. A company represented by Jamie Brough will officially take over ownership of the club on the 1st June 2011, on completion of the relevant legal documentation.

"Jamie along with other board directors, who will be joining, has significant experience within League and non-League football. The board has great long-term plans for the club and I can honestly say that I believe that they will invest the time and effort that is required in order to take the club forward.

"With Paul Cox's resignation last week, new management has been identified and the club should be in a position to give more details over the coming weeks in relation to this and the new board of directors. In relation to the Social Club, Business will continue as normal.

"We will work with the new board to ensure a smooth handover."
