Chelsea are a beaten side

Once again Chelsea are on the brink of Champions League success at the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich and the heirachy will not go out and support manager Roberto Di Matteo.

Chelsea have already failed against Manchester United 5-6 on penalties in Moscow, sacked one of the most successful managers in the clubs history Jose Mourinho and still chase a dream that with the full support of Roman Abramovich may be delivered by Matteo this season.

Once again the Russian boss undermines his manager courting Barcelona's Pep Guardiola who announced his resignation from the Champion League holders yesterday ahead of the final in Munich.

As reported in the Telegraph

"Talks have been ongoing over the past few months with Guardiola as Roman Abramovich has sought to persuade the Spaniard to become the next manager at Stamford Bridge.

The billionaire has already promised Guardiola ‘carte blanche’ at Chelsea in terms of how the club are run and structured and which players are bought and sold.

Despite Guardiola’s denials on Friday, it is maintained by Chelsea sources that he did meet Abramovich and the Russian’s highly-influential personal assistant, Marina Granovskaia, in Paris."

Is this the way to go forward as the Chelsea hierachy will again have egg on their face if Guardiola turns them down and they demoralise the current manager and squad.
