Birmingham may go under

According to an article in the Daily Mail, Birmingham worsening financial position has left the club with the option to either win promotion to the Premier League or go into administration.

The club, who are 6th in the Championship, will run out of money unless they get promoted stating they are losing £10million a year according to the article.

Player sales of Liam Ridgewell and Jean Beausejour have bolstered the coffers.

The publication of the year's accounts has already been delayed until the 30th April and the HSBC bank have withdrawn a £7m overdraft, further increasing pressure on the club's absent owner Carson Yeung, who is facing fraud charges in Hong Kong relating to alleged money laundering.
