Preston North End have something to smile about at last

Football News 24/7
NPower League 1 club Preston North End may be struggling on the pitch with just one win in ten, but off it they were honoured with not one, but two prestigious awards at the Football League Awards held in London at the weekend.

North End's stadium manager Paul Bradley carried off the 'Unsung Hero' award ahead of some stiff competition from other areas of football. Bradley has been at Preston for over 11 years and his dedication to duty in the upkeep of the ground and the facilities knows no bounds.

Bradley was unable to attend the London ceremony himself but his son accepted the award on his behalf.

Also a winner was Lynn Noon, who recived the award for League 1 Fan of the Year for her work in setting up the South Ribble Supporters Group - a new fan base for the club.
