Hearts to be investigated by SPL

The SPL board are to discuss the late payment of wages due today to the higher earners at the club.

In September Hearts boss John McGlynn said that he is not too worried about some employees’ wages being delayed for the fifth time in recent months.

Last season, Hearts failed to pay salaries on time on four occasions and Sky Sports reported that several players and staff members have not received money on time again.

The situation last season drew the attention of the SPL, who did not impose sanctions but did warn of the consequences of a repeat.
