As reported in the eppi magazine not only fans of European football really got their money’s worth during this year’s UEFA Champions League.
The internationally operating mat manufacturer Kleen-Tex, which has European factories in Austria, Great Britain and Poland, also profited from the run in the stadiums – to be precise the top European players’ walk through the tunnel: Eight mats branded “Road to Wembley” were produced for the qualifying games of the Champions League.
Then, for the final in Wembley, the company made a carpet measuring 400 x 1,784 cm bearing the inscription “Final Wembley 2013”.
Kleen-Tex was also represented live with different sized mats at the Ladies Champions League Final in London and at the UEFA Europe League Final in Amsterdam.
The overall carpet surface manufactured by the mat specialist for the UEFA and games this year totalled almost 400 m².
