Paul Ince is the new Blackpool manager, signing a one year rolling contract earlier this afternoon.
Ince replaces Michael Appleton who left to join Blackburn in January. Since then Appleton has managed to turn Blackburn's fortunes around, but Blackpool's have worsened, with the side moving further away from the play off places and closer to the relegation zone.
Ince will be able to call upon his son Tom from the Blackpool squad, with Ince Sr having watched his son at Bloomfield Road many times.
With Tom attracting Premier League interest over the January transfer window however, it is unclear if playing under his father will be enough to keep him at the club in the summer.
Ince has not worked as a manager since he left Notts County by mutual consent in 2011, having been at Macclesfield before two spells at MK Dons either side of a short stint at Blackburn, his only Premier League experience as a manager.
