Sheffield’s deal with Pukka Pies will see the food company sponsor the famous corner stand and be the sole pie supplier at Bramall Lane.
Wayne Greensmith, Pukka Pies’ marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to have signed a partnership with such an iconic football club – Sheffield United. We will be supplying the full range of Pukka Pies for home and visiting fans to enjoy on match days.”
Steve Coakley, the commercial director at Sheffield United, added: “This is great news for the club and our fans. Quality English pies are a vital part of the match day experience and Pukka Pies have a great reputation for satisfying the needs of the football fans.”
It tops a godd week for the Yorkshire club who also announced another deal - this time with computer game creators Sega Europe and Sports Interactive which will see the Football Manager logo emblazoned on the back of the club's home and away shirts, while the brand will also feature on replica shirts and appear on perimeter advertising boards and in other locations around Sheffield’s Bramall Lane stadium.
"We are delighted to be developing partnerships with such high profile leisure businesses,” said Sheffield United’s commercial director Steve Coakley. "Football Manager is very popular with football fans across the world and it is timely that we have joined forces with Sega and Sports Interactive when we have just appointed David Weir as our own new football manager!"
For Sega and Sports Interactive it means they now have a trio of sponsorship deals in place with Football League clubs. The two others are Championship side Watford and League Two club AFC Wimbledon.
