BetBright have announced that Buxton FC have become the first club in their new fundraising scheme to reach over £1000.
The club have amassed a princely sum of £1,400 which has just been sent to the Evo-Stik League outfit.
Not only have they got the highest ground in the country, the Silverlands faithful are proving staunch supporters of their beloved club! With a dedicated fanbase of 35 Buxton supporters having already jumped on board within the first month of the campaign, the cheque is in the post for the club owners, promoting a really strong bond with the club which we hope we can continue to build throughout this season and beyond.
However, Derbyshire-based Buxton aren’t alone in their quest for funding supplements. In the light of recent news of Government proposals for a £1.6m funding cutback to the FA for grassroots football, the Irish bookmaker has been inundated with queries on how best to get involved.
A statement on the company's blog said they have "vision for the growth and support of the programme for all non-league clubs wishing to partake, with a dedicated campaign manager on-hand 7-days-a-week to handle any queries you may have on how best to join Buxton FC in the our roll of honour in taking your club forward."
