Coventry City may have been rolled over 4-0 by Premier League Arsenal in Friday night's televised Fa Cup tie but they were the winners on the sponsorship front.
Coventry’s normal kit sponsor, the Grace Research Fund, agreed to the one-off change for the tie. 12Bet is the kit sponsor of Wigan Athletic, who shocked Manchester City in last year’s FA Cup.
“We knew once the draw was made and then when the game was chosen for television that there would be strong interest in the sponsorship of the kit,” Coventry City’s corporate manager Tynan Scope said in a statement.
“12Bet’s logo received fantastic winning exposure in last season’s FA Cup,” Roy Anderson, chief executive of 12Bet said in a statement.
