Gibraltar beat Malta 1-0 to record their first victory since being accepted as a competitive European nation.
The British Overseas Territory only has a population of just under 30,000, and will be involved in qualifying for the 2016 Euros in France in September.
Their group consists of Germany, Poland, Georgia, Republic of Ireland and fellow British side Scotland.
The European new boys were accepted by the continent's football governing body UEFA in May of 2013, but had failed to win a match, losing to the Faroe Islands and Estonia, the latter of which they also drew against, as well as drawing against Slovakia.
A goal from forward Kyle Casciaro in the 66th minute gave Gibraltar the win.
