FC United see ticket sales and membership grow

eNewsletter

Despite losing to a late Lancaster City goal to go out of this year's FA Cup in the second preliminary round, its not all gloom as FC United continue to grow their supporter base,

A recent report to shareholder confirmed last week that Season tickets, co-ownership and club merchandise sales are all up on last season underlining that the club is headed in the right direction and attracting support on all fronts.

The Club have now sold 1,427 season tickets for 2014-15 a figure that is higher than many Football League clubs. That represents a 20% increase on the same time last year.

The club has also seen a sharp rise in the number of fans wanting to own their own football club. It was reported: 'We already have over 3,000 members signed up which is more than at the same point in 2013. With a couple of hundred members yet to renew from last year, we believe a total of 3,500 members by the end of the season is possible.'

The membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June and as a co-owner you get the right to vote on club decisions (like the shirt design), and importantly who is elected on to the board.

It is very encouraging news ahaed of the move to a new purpose built stadium at Broadhurst Park. The club are currently playing at Stalybridge having moved from Gigg Lane.
