Burton Albion have given permission for Queens Park Rangers to interview Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for their vacant managerial role.
The Championship club have been without a permanent manager since sacking Chris Ramsey on November 4, with former boss Neil Warnock placed in interim charge in the meantime.
Hasselbaink has enjoyed a highly successful 12 months at the Pirelli Stadium, during which Burton Albion have been promoted from League Two as champions and rose to the top of League One with a 2-1 victory over Millwall last night.
Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson says: “QPR have approached us asking for permission to speak to Jimmy and we have agreed to that. He will be interviewed shortly for the vacant manager’s job.”
QPR are currently 12th in the Championship, having been relegated from the Premier League last season.
