Sky Bet Championship Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has revealed that himself and his coaching staff are using their own money to pay club administrative staff.
There is around 300 staff based at Bolton's Macron Stadium and their two training grounds who have not been paid this month.
Bolton manager Neil Lennon told the media "I've got staff who are struggling to make ends meet. That's not a great scenario so some of us are having a whip round for a few of them just to keep them on board."
Neil Lennon wages have also been put on hold until the financial situation improves at the club, he went on to say “They have been here a while and they absolutely love the club. If anyone deserves to be paid it’s these guys because of what they give.”
The club hope to seek validation order in court which will trigger the sale of the car parking land at the Macron Stadium, which should free up some money to pay staff next week.
Financial advisor Trevor Birch is currently trying to negotiate the sale of the club from owner Eddie Davies. (MA)
