Nissan has confirmed a deal that makes Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero a new global brand ambassador.
The Premier Leagues top scorer will lend his images to an upcoming advertising campaign called the ‘Engineers of Excitement’. This will illustrate the skills of the striker as well as pit him in a series of head-to-head challenges against Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and promote Nissan, the automotive sponsor of the UEFA Champions League.
The financial terms of the agreement with Agüero were undisclosed.
On agreeing the deal Agüero said “I’m very happy to be working with Nissan. The UEFA Champions League is such an exciting tournament which features some of the best teams, players and managers in the game. The week-in, week-out drama on and off the pitch makes it a great competition to be a part of as a player, and to watch as a fan.”
