EFL League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers have announced a deal that make Cherry Red Records the new sponsors of the clubs shorts.
This isn't the first time that Cherry Red Records, based in London, have been involved with football as they already sponsor a league and since 2006 they have been the ground sponsor AFC Wimbledon.
Damian Irvine, head of commercial activities at Cherry Red, believes that the previous experience the company has with fan owned club’s make them the ideal match for Wanderers.
Irvine said: “Cherry Red Records are solid supporters of Wycombe Wanderers and league football generally, particularly supporter-owned club’s like ours.
“They’ve shown real enthusiasm for working with us and many of our fans and staff are passionate supporters of independent music – not least our manager.”
The logo for Cherry Red Records will appear on the home and away kit of Wycombe for the rest of the 2016/17 season , with the first match being tomorrow’s match against Stevenage in League 2.
Their managing director, Adam Velasco, is a long-time Wycombe and is "delighted" to have struck a deal with a club which he feels so close to.
He said: “I grew up in High Wycombe and I have been a fan since the non-league days at Loakes Park. We are proud to become a sponsor of the club and look forward to seeing our logo displayed on the team’s shorts up and down the country.”
