Northampton Town haver received the EFL Family Excellence Award for the 2016/17 season.
The EFL Family Excellence Award was created in 2007 and aims recognise the outstanding experience provided by clubs for young fans and families, as well as their efforts to improve the match day experience.
Northampton have worked hard to provide families with engaging and innovative matchday entertainment, as they continue to find new and unique ways to attract young supporters to matches.
Initiatives have included free match and season tickets for under 7s and the opening of the Mick George Family Area. As a result of this there has been a huge increase in the number of junior season ticket holders (117%), Junior memberships (132%) and sales of junior shirts (58%).
"We are delighted to receive this award," said Chairman Kelvin Thomas. "We have worked hard to develop a fun, vibrant and exciting area for young supporters in the Mick George family area and that has been a huge success.
