Tottenham Hotspur have launched a new app called SPVRS. The app will take users on a virtual tour of the clubs new stadium before it has been built.
Spurs will move into their new 61,000 seater stadium at the start of the 2018/19 season but fans can now take a tour of the stadium thanks to the new app.
The app is free to download and comes with access to a printable tracker image which can be brought to life via a smart phone or tablet using Augmented Reality. Once the image has been activated it takes the user to the centre circle of the pitch from where they are immersed in Virtual Reality and can take a 360-degree view of the inner bowl of the stadium.
The app also has a commercial function as users who have bought a premium package for the new stadium will have access to a Virtual Reality 360-degree view of their selected lounge or suite.
Other features of the app include an interactive stadium stats function as well as access to the Stadium News feed which is hosted on Tottenham Hotspur’s official website.
Emma Taylor, Head of Marketing, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “The SPVRS app will give our supporters a first look at our iconic stadium bowl and the opportunity to interact with a 3D digital stadium model. The app also allows our premium guests to see their new lounge or suite in 360 Virtual Reality."
