AFC Bournemouth announce stadium rights extension
The deal means Bournemouth's stadium will continue to formally be known as the Vitality Stadium until the end of the 2019/20 season.
The partnership, which first began in 2015, also covers the naming rights for three stands at the venue, including the Vitality Steve Fletcher, Vitality East Stand and Vitality Main Stand. The company will also retain its position as the headline sponsor of the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust.
The collaboration will see the two parties work together to benefit supporters and the wider community through campaigns and competitions which will offer tickets to games, hospitality and other matchday packages.
“We’ve enjoyed a very successful partnership with Vitality so far,” said Rob Mitchell, Bournemouth’s commercial director. “They employ 400 people in the town and we both wanted to tie up the new contract as the partnership has been excellent for both parties. We’re delighted that Vitality will continue to be a huge part of our Premier League journey.”
Neville Koopowitz, chief executive of Vitality, added: “After two great seasons supporting AFC Bournemouth, we are delighted to be extending our partnership with them. We believe in the power of sport to help inspire people to live a healthy life, which is why we partner with leading sports teams like AFC Bournemouth, to help share the Vitality message.”
