Alan Pardew made farewell visit to Newcastle training ground with Crystal Palace appointment imminent
Pardew, according to the local evening paper on Tyneside, is understood to have returned to Newcastle United’s training ground to say goodbye to players and staff.
Pardew looks set to take over at Crystal Palace in the coming days and after talks in the capital with Eagles supremo Steve Parish, he has made the trip back to Tyneside to say farewell.
Pardew spoke to players and staff at the training ground after working at the club for the last four years.
The Londoner put media men off the scent by entering the club’s Benton HQ via the club’s Academy training area.
Meanwhile, John Carver will pick the team for the home game with Burnley on New Year’s Day.
