Alan Stubbs sacked as Rotherham United Manager after less than 5 months in charge

The Millers are bottom of the table with only one win and six points from 13 league matches.

Assistant manager John Doolan and first-team coach Andy Holden have also left the club.

Former Everton defender Stubbs, 45, guided Hibernian to the Scottish Cup last season and left to take charge of Rotherham in June.

A club statement stated : "Following a board meeting on Wednesday morning, it was felt that a change of first-team management was needed to give the club the best possible opportunity to preserve our Championship status. The board have now started the process of appointing a new first-team manager."

Fitness coach Paul Warne will take temporary control of the first team while Rotherham look for their fifth manager since the start of the 2015-16 season.
