Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce appointed England boss

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has been confirmed as England's new boss following the guidance of the FA's panel set up to find Roy Hodgson's replacement.

The FA have agreed compensation with Sunderland and Allardyce has signed an initial two year contract.

His first game in charge will be against Malta at Wembley on September 1st
