Arsenal player signs Pro Evolution Soccer deal

Arsenal player Mesut Özil has signed a deal to become a new brand ambassador for Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 (PES 2017), a football video game that is developed by Konami.   

Özil will lend his image to future promotional campaigns for the game and Konami have released a trailer for the new edition of the game that stars Özil in pixelated form.

Özil said “It is a great feeling to have been chosen as an ambassador for this incredible series. I have been following PES for years. The series has improved with each year and it has always been among my favourite console games."

He added “No other game mimics the individuality of playing styles as PES 2017 does, with players capable of changing a game with one remarkable piece of skill. It is fantastic to see myself playing in the game as I do for Arsenal and Germany.”
