Arsenal's Sanchez, Chelsea's Hazard and three Manchester City players on Ball d'Or shortlist

Three Manchester City players are included in the Ballon d'Or shortlist for 2015, as well a player a piece from Arsenal and Chelsea.

City's Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure, as well as new signing Kevin De Bruyne, who played for Wolfsburg last season, were all selected along with Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.

The five Premier League players will face tough comepetition however, as not many will be looking past either Barcelona's Lionel Messi, or current holder Christiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid, who between them have won the prize for the past seven years.

Wales and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is the only British player named.

In terms of Leagues, the Spanish La Liga has the most players nominated, with 11 players nominated, while Germany's Bundesliga has six nominees.
