Aston Villa record big operating loss
Aston Villa have announced that they have made an operating loss of £81m for the 2015/16 accounts.
The club issued a brief statement saying that their operating loss before interest and tax rose to £81.3m and increase from £26.6m the previous year.
The accounts cover the 12 months to 31st May 2016, the season Villa were relegated from the Premier League.
During 2015/16, the club recorded losses of £79.6m due to "exceptional items" but they didn't explain what they are.
