Barnet and Oldham headline FA Cup 3rd round shocks
Leicester and Fulham lost to League Two sides as non-league Barnet knocked out Championship high-flyers Sheffield United on an exhilarating day of FA Cup third-round shocks.
Newport County, 13th in the league 2, had failed to win their previous five league games but beat the 201-16 Premier League champions 2-1 with Padraig Amond scoring the winner from the penalty spot.
National League side Barnet had not reached this stage of the competition since 2008, and on that occasion they secured a spot in the fourth round - it was a case of history repeating at Sheffield United.
Oldham, three-time semi-finalists, fought from a goal down to beat Premier League side Fulham 2-1.
Elsewhere League One side Doncaster reached the fourth round for the first time since 2010 with a 3-1 win at Championship club Preston.
