Belgium score fastest World Cup qualifying goal

Striker, Christian Benteke scored the fastest ever World Cup qualifying goal against Gibraltar last night, after just 8.1 seconds.

The Palace striker netter a hat-trick in a 6-0 win over Gibraltar, the first goal was the quickest in Belgiums' history.

The record was beaten by 0.2 seconds, previous 8.3 second record was set by San Marino's Davide Gualtieri back in 1993.

Benteke caught onto a loose ball after the home side had kicked off and controlled it into the box before scoring.

Belgium currently sit at the top of the Group H table.
