Manchester City expand deal with BNN

Manchester City have expanded their commercial relationship with BNN Technology, a London-listed Chinese technology, content and services company.

The partnership was originally agreed in 2015 and will focus on developing coaching programmes, delivering content and providing VIP experiences for Chinese fans

BNN’s Chinese operating partner NewNet will work closely with Manchester City to create four new football clinics in China, which will be available to 144 players over the age of 18. The club will also provide BNN with a wide range of content for its Xinhua News app that will include pre-match manager interviews and press conferences, as well as weekly news bulletin videos, training footage and news articles.

”Manchester City is delighted to grow its partnership with BNN,” said Damian Willoughby, senior vice president of partnerships at City Football Group. “They share both our commitment to playing an active role in the development of football in China, and engaging with local fans in an innovative way.”

Darren Mercer, chief executive of BNN Technology, added: “I am delighted that we are expanding our relationship with Manchester City, one of Europe’s top clubs, to help BNN play a wider role in supporting China’s football ambitions while also delivering first class content to the Xinhua News app and gaining further high quality data to support our other sales channels.

“City’s expertise and input will be hugely valuable as our Chinese operating partner NewNet builds a programme that will help to improve grassroots playing standards throughout China.”
