Bristol Rovers drop complaint against Bristol City

Bristol Rovers have announced that they will drop their complaint against Bristol City regarding the transfer of Matty Taylor.

The club had said they were going to make an official complaint to the English Football League after Taylor moved to Bristol City on deadline day last month.

The complaint was to be made as they claimed that Bristol City knew the details of the release clause in his contract.

Taylor became the first player to leave Rovers and move to City since Trevor Morgan in 1987.

Bristol City have said that they "welcomed the news" that the complaint was not being pursued.
