Carabao Cup third round draw: Arsenal face Doncaster and Manchester United will meet Burton Albion

The tie of the round in the Carabao Cup for us has to be Arsenal at home to Darren Ferguson's high flying Doncaster Rovers.

Ferguson, son of Sir Alex, admitted afterwards that it would be his first time managing a side at the Emirates and ait was a wonderful chance for his players to play at the venue.

In an interview on TalkSport he also admitted that he still gets advice from his famous father saying: 'why wouldn't you'.

His dad's old club, and current holders Manchester United will start the defence  against Burton Albion following Thursday’s third round draw.

Champions League draw: Chelsea get Atletico, Man Utd v Benfica & Spurs in group of death»

Jose Mourinho won his first major trophy as United boss earlier this year when Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s late header secured a dramatic 3-2 win over Southampton at Wembley.

Another great tie is Liverpool’s trip to Leicester City with the Reds aiming to improve on a semi-final appearance from last season. It looks a cert for live TV.

The current Premier League leaders will have to get past the Championship side in order to progress.

Chelsea, who have an excellent recent pedigree in this competiton, are due to meet Nottingham Forest, while Tottenham,

  • Everton v Sunderland
  • Leicester v Liverpool
  • Manchester United v Burton Albion
  • Brentford v Norwich
  • Wolves v Bristol Rovers
  • Burnley v Leeds United
