Champions League chasing Southampton bring back Adidas as official kit supplier

Premier League side  Southampton have announced they will resume their agreement with Adidas as their official technical supplier for the 2015/16 season.

The club had previously chosen to end their association with the German sportswear brand for the 2014/15 season after failing to agree terms in time for the start of the campaign. Southampton have been producing their kit in-house during this time.

The new agreement means Adidas will produce the Saints’ team kit, replica kit, training wear, leisurewear and equipment.

Gareth Rogers, the Southampton chief executive, said: “We are very grateful to Adidas for the support and understanding they have offered over the past 12 months while we took an enforced hiatus from our affiliation.

“Adidas has a global reputation for quality and innovation, making them the perfect partner for the club. We are looking forward to activating our working relationship for the third and final year of our contract.”

Adidas UK brand director Barry Moore added: “We are excited about working closely with the club across the season by bringing together the latest Adidas kit innovations with one of the best teams in the league.”

Southampton have enjoyed a great season under Ronald Koeman, who lost several key players last season, but has replaced them well and his side are now in the hunt for European football next season.
