Championship: Blackpool chairman to begin legal action against fan

Karl Oyston, chairman of Championship strugglers Blackpool, is pursuing legal action against a fan who has made accusations against him and his father Owen.

It is claimed the pair are attempting to sue the fan for £150,000 over a number of serious allegations, which they say to be untrue.

Karl Oyston is currently under investigation after an altercation with a fan whereby they exchanged abusive messages.

It is reported that the pair are unhappy with a series of posts about them, as well as accusations about the club.

Club president and shareholder Valeri Bolokon has already called for Oyson to resign over the content of the text messages Oyston sent to a fan, who later apologised for his remarks.

The Tangerine Army have become increasingly concerned with the way the Oyston family have been running the club, particularly the use of the large windfall the club received from it's time in the Premier League.

Fans have staged protests against the family's running of the club as the club's on pitch antics increase, with the side having won only five games in the 2014 calender year.
