Championship: Reading FC announce partnership with Energy Efficient Solutions

Reading FC have announced a new partnership with Energy Efficient Solutions Group which will run until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The three-year deal will see the company help the club with the installation of LED lighting right across its Select Car Leasing Stadium site, with the aim of reducing energy usage from lighting by approximately 80%.

The deal follows the club's agreement with the University of Reading made earlier in the summer, which was based around raising awareness over climate change.

Most notably Reading's new home kit contains stripes on the sleeve representing the raising temperatures in Reading over the past 150 years since the club was founded.
Head of Commercial at Reading Football Club, Tim Kilpatrick, said: “This partnership is perfect for a club aiming to take small steps towards achieving a brighter future for our planet. With the launch of our new home kit this week, we have started the climate conversation. Now we hope this partnership with another local organisation will help us play our part in taking some action.”

Paul Daly, CEO of Energy Efficient Solutions Group, expressed: "We are delighted to become one of Reading Football Club’s key partners in helping them on their sustainability drive. I am looking forward to a successful long-term relationship on this journey and wish them every success for the upcoming season."
