Championship: Reading sack manager Steve Clarke two weeks after turning down Fulham job

Championship side Reading have sacked manager Steve Clarke following a 1-0 defeat to QPR on Thursday.
Reading's board of directors met with Clarke in person early on Friday to confirm his departure.
Clarke joined the Royals in December 2014, and guided them to the FA Cup semi-finals last season.
However, his results in the league were fairly average, and despite a good start to this campaign, a run of one win in their last eight has left the promotion hopefuls in midtable.
Clarke's future at the club was under scrutiny since he decided to accept an appraoch from Fulham for their managerial vacancy. At one point his move the Craven Cottage looked all but done, but it fell through at the last minute and Clarke stayed on at Reading.
Assistant manager Kevin Keen also departs, with under-21s manager Martin Kuhl taking charge on an interim basis.
During his time in charge, Clarke won 19 of his 53 games, drawing 14 and losing 20.
The club have not set any time frame on when they will appoint a new manager.
