Championship: Watford FC appoint former Brighton manager Oscar Garcia as new head coach

Championship side Watford have announced the appointment of former Brighton manager Óscar Garcia as Head Coach.
His appointment comes following the resignation of former Head coach Beppe Sannino on Sunday, with the club moving quickly to secure Garcia's services.
In a statement released by the club, they claimed they "won the race against several high-profile English clubs to secure his services."
Garcia's last management role was at Brighton, who he led to the Championship play-offs last season, before being knocked out in the semi-finals, leading to the Spaniard handing in his resignation.
He spent two months over the summer working as a coach for Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv, a side who he had previosuly managed into the UEFA Champions League thanks to a 2012/13 league title-winning campaign.
However, he left in August, and had been touted for several Championship jobs, including Leeds United.
The club stated that his experience with Brighton last season "was a key factor in his appointment."
Garcia has a long standing association with Spanish giants Barcelona, having come through their ranks to become a mainstay for the club during the 1990's, winning four League titles.
After hanging up his boots, he developed his coaching style at the club as well, working at the club's lauded La Masia academy.
