Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho 'ashamed' of racist fans
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is 'ashamed' of the fans who racially abused a black man on a Paris Metro station.
Footage emerged after Chelsea's 1-1 draw with PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday of Chelsea fans on a crowded Metro train in Paris, stopping a black man boarding the train and chanting 'We're racist, we're racist, and that's the way we like it."
Mourinho, speaking for the first time since the event, has said that he was 'ashamed' but also that he refuses to be associated with those involved, saying they are not part of the club.
The victim, a 33-year-old man named as Souleymane S, told French newspaper Le Parisien: "These people, these English fans... should be locked up."
French authorities, alongside the Metropolitan Police are investigating the event, and the club have already suspended three people from attending matches, saying the will hand out lifetime bans if enough evidence shows their involvement.
The club have invited the victim to attend a game at Stamford Bridge and have apologised 'unreservedly' for the ordeal.
