Chelsea to confirm new Commercial Director

Chelsea are to announce that they will appoint Chris Townsend as their new commercial director.

Chelsea are yet to confirm the news, but the Department for Culture, Media and Sport have already announced that Townsend is to leave his position as chief executive of Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), which provides government funding for projects to improve broadband speed and coverage.

Townsend will leave his position at BDUK at the end of April.
