Chelsea win Premier League
Chelsea regained their Premier League crown -lost to Leicester City last season in - in a tight game at the Hawthornes on Friday night.
It looked like the celebrations would be on hold with less tan ten minutes left but the mood changed and the title was won as substitute Batshuayi, who had previously endured a season of struggle after his £33m move from Marseille, ended a scrappy passage of play by steering a finish high past West Brom 'keeper, Ben Foster.
The final whistle sparked wild celebrations among Chelsea's fans, and manager Antonio Conte was tossed high into the air by his squad.
In truth though the title was won in the Autumn. Chelsea were as low as 8th after a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in September. But Conte steered his side to a 13 game winning run which saw them top the table at Christmas and they have never looked like getting caught.
The Blues face Watford at Stamford Bridge on Monday night and the home fans will be able to celebrate in style. It is Chelsea's fifth title win, and Conte's fourth on he bounce.
They now look forward to a possible double with an FA Cup final meeting with Arsenal at the end of the month.
