Chester sack manager at weekend after poor run of form
National League strugglers Chester have sacked manager Steve Burr following a string of bad results.
Just one win in 10 for the Blues has seen them slide down the table and into the relegation dogfight, sitting just four points clear of the drop zone.
Burr had been at the club for over two years and was originally relegated from the division only for the club to be reprieved due to the demise of Salisbury City and Hereford United.
They finished a modest 12th last season and looked set to repeat that again this term had it not been for the recent results that has cost the former Kidderminster boss his job.
